This is the non-refundable deposit payment to reserve a place on the School of Film & Television trip to the Berlinale 2027, Germany, 11-16 February 2027.
Berlinale is one of Europe’s most important film festivals. Students will experience the excitement of a major film and TV festival and have opportunities to network with filmmakers and industry professionals.
The trip is available to all students studying on BA(Hons) Film, BA(Hons) Television & Film Production, BA Post Production and Visual Effects, MA Feature Filmmaking, MA Film & Television and MA Prosthetic Effects.
The deadline for deposits to secure a place is midday 6th November 2026, with the balance due by 4th December 2026.
Detailed Description
The trip is subject to a minimum take-up of 20 students, with places limited to 40.
Please note that the trip requires the following payments to be made:

Non-refundable deposit of £300 due by midday Friday 6th November 2026.

Balance payment of between £309 and £453 by midday on Friday 4th December 2026. (exact cost to be advised after the deposit deadline, when exact traveller numbers are known, with the total trip cost per person to be between £609 and £753).

Your deposit is non-refundable and commits you to paying the balance of between £309 and £453 (to be advised after the deposit payment deadline) before noon on Friday 4th December 2026.
Places are limited, and students will need to have paid for the trip in full by 4th December 2026 to be guaranteed a place.
Included in the total cost will be:
5 nights hostel accommodation in shared rooms, on a bed and breakfast basis
Return flights from the UK to Germany
Coach transfers to and from airports in the UK and in Germany,
A half-day guided coach tour of Berlin
One piece of hold luggage each way
Group Travel Insurance
Please note that entry to the festival is not included, students will need to arrange this themselves. Berlin has a great public programme, and large theatres – tickets are normally available from 1 February, and daily release of tickets at the event.
Please note that the trip cannot be fully costed until after the sign-up deadline of 6th November. The cost is likely to be close to £680, any overpayment will be reimbursed once the trip has been costed. Please note that this payment includes a deposit.
