To all IFY students, Please join us on a day trip to the internationally renowned Tate St. Ives Art Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Gardens on Thursday 26th March.

This will be an opportunity to engage with both the Tate’s incredible permanent collection, and the current special exhibition by Emilija Skarnulyte who creates films and immersive installations that explore deep time and invisible systems.

We will also spend time at the home of St. Ives’ most famous artist; Barbara Hepworth, where we will see her studio preserved as she left it, and many of her large sculptures displayed in the grounds.

There will also be time to explore Porthmeor Beach which the Tate overlooks, and the town which is famous for its charming winding lanes and many smaller art galleries including the highly regarded Penwith Gallery.

There will also be some ‘en plein air’ drawing activities delivered by staff which you will all be welcome to join in with. This is a great opportunity and relevant to all IFY students regardless of pathway, so we highly recommend all attend.
