Description
Starting with the foundational knowledge of the classical sight size technique, students will spend 4 days in practical workshops creating drawings and then a final painting in oil of themselves, learning to look at the technicalities of anatomy, proportions, and compositional strategies as well as expression.
As well as gaining a technical understanding of self-portrait and oil painting techniques, students will also study colour theory, learning to mix paint using a limited colour palette. They will take their drawings and final oil painting on canvas home with them.
Suitable for all creative people at all levels and based in a lovely art studio on our Falmouth campus.

This course runs from 28th July until 31th July from 9:30am – 4:30pm
Taught in person in a creative environment on our beautiful Falmouth campus, the course fee includes everything you’ll need plus tea/coffee through the day.
