This is the non-refundable deposit payment to reserve a place on the School of Film & Television trip to the Berlinale 2025, Germany, 13-18 February 2026.
The Berlinale is one of Europe’s most important film festivals. Students will experience the excitement of a major festival and have opportunities to network with filmmakers and industry professionals. The Berlinale is a cultural and cinematic event not to be missed.
Paying the non-refundable deposit of £350 is one of two steps to reserve a place on the trip to the Berlinale. You will also need to complete the Registration Form using the link provided to you when paying the remaining balance.
Available to students studying on BA(Hons) Film, BA(Hons) Television & Film Production, BA(Hons) Post Production & Visual Effects, MA Prosthetic Effects, MA Feature Filmmaking, and MA Film & Television.

Detailed Description
The trip is subject to a minimum take-up of 30 students, with places limited to 45.
Please note that the trip requires the following payments to be made:
- Non-refundable deposit of £350 due by midday Monday 3 November 2025.
- Balance payment of between £300 and £400 by midday on Monday 1 December. (exact cost to be advised after the deposit deadline, when exact traveller numbers are known, with the total trip cost per person likely to be between £675 and £750)
Your deposit is non-refundable and commits you to paying the balance of between £300 and £400 (final cost to be advised after the deposit payment deadline) before noon on Monday 1 December 2025.
We use a tour company who provide us with 24 hour support and protection for your security at all stages of the trip. The cost of the trip will include:
- 5 nights' hostel accommodation in shared rooms, on a bed and breakfast basis
- Return flights from the UK to Germany
- Airport transfers in the UK (from Falmouth and Penryn) and in Germany,
- A half-day guided coach tour of Berlin
- One piece of hold luggage each way
- Group Travel Insurance
Not included – you will need to additionally budget for:
- All meals other than breakfast.
- Tickets to Berlinale screenings and events
- Travel Insurance to cover any exclusions cited in the group travel insurance policy
- Any public transport, in addition to provided excursions
- Passport and visa costs.
