A non-refundable payment of £30 is required to secure your place.

Detailed Description

Fashion as a Force for Nature
2-dayworkshop, designed to provide an introduction to the very beginning of the fashion supply chain to forge a deeper connection between farming, nature and your textile practice. 

Date
13th-15th July 2025
Arrival from 3pm on Sunday 13th, departure on Tuesday 15th around lunchtime.

Cost
Total cost of the event is £180

This is the link to pay the deposit of £30. Payment is required by 11 April 2025.

A  balance payment of £150 will be required by 13 June 2025.

Accommodation
Exclusive use of the campsite and fire pits. 2 x 5 person tipis, 3 x 6 person bell tents and 1 x 2 person bell tent. Bedding provided as well as logs for the fire pits. Guests will need to bring towels and personal items. It is also recommended that guests take torches, camping chairs or picnic blankets to sit around the firepits.
 

Agenda

·      Sunday afternoon arrival and informal introductory workshop facilitated by Falmouth University in the classroom space

·      Sunday evening BBQ

·      Monday morning - Presentation around the Cotmarsh Farm farming system to provide an understanding of their approach to regenerative agriculture

·      Coffee/Tea Break

·      Tannery tour and discussion around leather

·      Lunch

·      Monday Afternoon - Farm tour to see in practice the topics we discussed in the morning. Meet the livestock, see our grazing system in practice, understand the beneficial impact on wildlife and biodiversity. Have a look around the dye garden and see some of the varieties of plants we are growing for natural dyes including our ‘dye hedge’.

·      Tuesday morning - Council of all beings workshop facilitated by Falmouth University in the classroom space

 

Food

·      BBQ food Sunday evening using our delicious pasture fed lamb or beef with vegetarian option available

·      Breakfast pastries, tea and coffee on Monday and Tuesday morning

·      Lunch on Monday and Tuesday

·      Access to tea, coffee and squash (and plenty of cake!) during the event
