Description
Get involved with this fast-paced 2 day course where our Games Academy team will introduce you to Unity and how to build logic with visual scripting. You’ll learn to implement art assets and build worlds using assets, with the first day of the course covering everything required to create a basic game.
On the second day, we’ll have an ideas generation round and then with a strict time limit you will make a game that follows the chosen idea / theme. You will work individually within a group of likeminded people, in a creative environment to spark ideas, test knowledge, and encourage you to challenge your abilities.
At the end of the course you’ll all get a chance to submit your games for peer review and will be able to play eachother’s creations after the course. You’ll take the copy away with you of the game you’ve created.
This course is suitable for beginners who are interested in games, programming, software or IT generally who’d like to broaden their skillset. No programming knowledge is required. People who enjoy making games already and who’d like to expand their knowledge and take on a games jam challenge in a collaborative environment are also really welcome.
