Dress Devolution investigates styles, practices and representations around dress and textiles outside of metropolotan contexts.
The beach as a liminal space has long been a site of leisured, risque, specialised and defiantly un-urban dress and textile practices which this conference aims to explore.
Detailed Description
The conference takes place at Falmouth University's Penryn Campus (TR10 9FE) on 10-11 July 2024. There is a welcome event on the evening of 9 July and a conference dinner is planned for the evening of Wednesday 10 July.
The ticket price includes lunch on both days, hot drinks and refreshments, parking (if required) plus welcome event and dinner.
Students and unwaged attendees should use the other link on this portal to pay for tickets (£150).
On-campus accommodation is available and can be booked separately at £50 per night, also on this site.
