Thursday 13 June 1.30-4.30 and Friday 14 June 9-12 - online

This course can be attended as a stand alone course for people who have a Knowledge of Excel that was covered in Level 1 2 Excel course.
or
as the 2nd course in the series of three.

In this course, the second in a series of three, you will build on the knowledge gained during the basics course to learn intermediate level skills within Excel. This will include conditional formatting, importing data from text files, formatting tables, adding slicers and sparklines and finally how to visualise your data with charts.

 

Detailed Description

After supplying evidence, and successfully completing this course, participants will receive a digital badge that they can put on their LinkedIn profile and email signature to prove their knowledge of the program to future employers.

After completing all three courses (basic, intermediate and advanced) in this Excel series you will receive an overall badge showing your mastery of the software and have the opportunity to take the MOS Excel exam.

  • Apply number formats`
  • Apply cell formats
  • cell styles & Clear cell formatting.
  • Conditional formatting
  • Display formulas
  • Import data from text files
  • Insert and delete multiple columns or rows & insert and delete cells
  • Merge and unmerge cells - for accessibility
  • Format multiple worksheets 
  • Sparklines
  • Define a named range & Reference a named range & across worksheet
  • Create Excel tables 

Session 2  

  • Add or remove table rows and columns.
  • Apply table styles
  • Configure table style options & insert and configure total rows
  • Filter records & Sort data by multiple columns
  • Using slicers
  • Pivot tables
  • Perform calculations by using formula functions
  • Create charts & Create chart sheets
  • add data series to charts &  Add and modify chart elements
  • Add alternative text to charts for accessibility

Digital Badge
You will automatically, become eligible to claim a digital badge once you have demonstrated capability according to specific criteria established for the badge. This badge can be shared with future employers, on linkedin and many other digital platforms. click this link to find out more

Cancellations must be done a minimum of 3 working days prior to the start of the course in order to qualify for a refund. If a cancellation is made after this time, then you will still be charged the full cost of the course and we will not be able to issue a refund.
