Detailed Description

We will take the coach from campus to Penzance, then take the Scillonian ferry to the island of St Mary’s. This is an outdoor trip, and we will be camping in Readi-tents, all set up with camp bed, but you will need a sleeping bag and pillow. The campsite has a secure room for storage of kit.

The itinerary includes a wildlife boat trip to visit the seabird colonies and search for Scillies wildlife and a day trip to Tresco to visit the famous Abbey Gardens and explore the island - there’s even a thriving red squirrel colony. We will set up splash photography and snorkeling sessions for those that want to explore the water. There will be opportunities for walks out from the campsite to photograph the landscape and coastline of this beautiful location and plenty of free time to discover the rest of St Mary’s and Hugh Town, just below the campsite.
