Detailed Description

This is a non-refundable deposit to reserve your place on the Architecture study trip to Porto, Portugal from Monday 26 March to Thursday 29 March 2018.  The total cost will be approx. £300.

A non-refundable deposit payment of £100 is required by Friday 6 October to secure your place on the trip.

The balance will be required by Friday 19 January 2018 and the cost of the balance will be known once final numbers are confirmed and flights are booked, this will be calculated a week after the deposit deadline. The full cost of the trip is estimated to be under £300.

The trip includes:

  • Return flights from UK Airport (Bristol or a London airport - subject to change in order to secure cheaper flights).
  • Transfer to/from accommodation in Porto.
  • Three nights bed and breakfast accommodation in Nice Way Porto Hostel, Porto.We will be spending 3/4 days exploring the city of Porto.

Porto is rich in its diversity and history, with many similarities with Falmouth and many points of contrast. A port on the Atlantic, Porto has long been a place of arrival and a point of departure. The city nestles on the banks of the Rio Douro, with an historic centre, now a Unesco World Heritage Site, and spreads along the riverbank and out into the Atlantic. The architecture of Porto is varied and diverse with gems from Alvaro Siza, OMA, Eduardo Souta de Moura, Gustave Eiffel to name just a few.

PLEASE NOTE: During the online payment process, full traveller and passport details will be collected; this will be used to book flights, so please ensure all details are accurately entered. If they do not match the passport at the time of travelling, travel may not be permitted. Passports must be valid for travel up to and including the return date. Some students may need to secure a schengen visa for this trip.
