This is the non-refundable full payment for the BA Illustration study visit to London between 10 - 15 December 2017. This study visit is available to First Year Illustration students only. If eligible to attend, this payment will secure your place on the study visit. If you are ineligible to attend this study visit, payment will not reserve you a place on the visit, and therefore your payment will be refunded.

The deadline to make the full payment is midnight on Wednesday 27 September.

 

Detailed Description

This is the non-refundable full payment for the BA Illustration study visit to London between 10 - 15 December 2017. This study visit is available to First Year Illustration students only.  If eligible to attend, this payment will secure your place on the study visit. If you are ineligible to attend this study visit, payment will not reserve you a place on the visit, and therefore your payment will be refunded.

The deadline to make the full payment is midnight on Wednesday 27 September.

The focus of this study trip is to introduce Level 1 students to the illustration industry.  Students will gain insight into how illustration is used and how illustrators function within the industry. It will comprise of visits to companies (publishers, magazines, agents and practicing illustrators) and an Illustration forum where 3 Illustrators will present their work. It will also involve personally directed research and location drawing related to a studio brief (visiting museums, galleries etc).

The cost includes five nights B&B accommodation from Sunday 10 December to Friday 15 December 2017 and group travel insurance.  Travel costs are not included in the price of the trip so you will need to make your own travel arrangements. 

 

Any payment for a study visit made by or on behalf of an enrolled Falmouth University student is subject to the following terms and conditions in relation to the student.

Terms and conditions

1.If your study visit requires flights or non-UK travel, then during the online payment process (for deposits and for balances), full traveller and passport details will be collected. This will be used to book travel, so please ensure all details are accurately entered. If they do not match the passport at the time of travelling, travel may not be permitted. If a subsequent correction of your details is later required, you are likely to incur a charge made by the tour operator. Passports must be valid for travel up to and including the return date.

 2. Falmouth University reserves the right not to run any study visit. If you are making this payment but are not the traveller, please note that in the event of a refund needing to be issued for any aspect of a study visit, the refund will be made to the card used to make the payment. If this is not possible due to card expiry then, for security reasons, the refund will be paid by Falmouth University directly to the student whose place it concerns.  

 3. Any queries about this study visit must be made by the student directly to the organising course tutor, regardless of who is making the payment for their trip attendance. We regret that Falmouth University is unable to enter into conversation about the details of a study visit or discuss the details of participating students with parents or any other third parties, for reasons of security and data protection.

4. Travellers agree to read all insurance and other information provided to them by Falmouth University in relation to this study visit.

5. Payment of a non-refundable deposit constitutes your agreement to pay the balance for the study visit by the deadline stated. If you fail to do so, your place on the study visit will be cancelled, you will forfeit the non-refundable deposit you have paid, and your outstanding balance will be treated as a debt; you may also be subject to cancellation penalties. Students in debt to the university are not eligible to enrol onto the next level of their course, or to graduate.

6. By booking on to this study visit, you agree to conduct yourself in a reasonable and orderly manner, with due regard to other people, their property and the reputation of Falmouth University. You agree to comply with the instructions of the Visit Organiser (the lead academic on your study visit).

7. The details you provide may be retained for the duration of the study visit for health and safety reasons.

8. Photographs of the study visit may be used by the university for marketing and promotional purposes.
